A Community Prayer

Updated: Oct 2, 2022

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 KJV. Greetings! I am Faith T. Ford. Pray with me:

"Heavenly Father, You are Holy and worthy of all praise. You are the Most High God. The true and living God and there is none like You in all the earth. All power, dominion, and glory belongs to You alone.

You have given us the way to everlasting life, through faith in Christ Jesus, and we come boldly to Your throne of grace for forgiveness of sin. We repent of every offensive emotion, thought, word, and deed that we've committed against ourselves and our neighbors. Create in us a clean heart and renew Your steadfast spirit within us. Strengthen us to forgive ourselves and those that have offended us. teach us to live peaceably with ourselves and others.

We thank You for the Holy Scriptures that brings life, health, healing, peace, and abundance unto us, our homes, and our community. Give us the desire to read Your Holy Scriptures daily and to get understanding. We ask for the indwelling power of Your Holy Spirit that we may live an acceptable life that is set-apart and pleasing unto You.

Lord, help us to love You with all of our heart, soul, mind, and being. Because we trust You we commit all that we are/have to You. Empower us to love unconditionally as You have loved us. Make us sensitive to Your Holy Spirit that we may always bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

As we go about our day, protect us from everything that is unlike You. Keep our minds sharp and bless the works of our hands to do good. With the provisions that you have bestowed upon us, teach us to be good stewards and to serve those that are in need.

May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in your sight. For You alone are our Strength and our Redeemer and we glorify You. In Jesus name we pray and say AMEN!"
